PushScroll is a digital wellness app. We collect only what's necessary to make the app work. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
1. Who We Are
PushScroll ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Francis Alexes Noces, an individual based in Canada. You can reach us at support@pushscroll.io.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data required to operate the app:
- Account data: Email address and password (hashed) used to create your PushScroll account via Supabase Auth.
- Step data: Daily step counts read from your device's pedometer via Apple HealthKit and expo-sensors. This data is synced to our backend every 30 seconds while the app is active.
- App tier assignments: Which apps you assign to Red, Yellow, Green, or White tiers. Stored in our database to apply the correct blocking rules.
- Usage data: Step goal, streak count, grace tokens used, session budgets, bypass events (emergency overrides). Used to power AI coaching features and accountability partner alerts.
- Subscription data: Your subscription tier (Free, Solo, Duo, Family) managed via RevenueCat and Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not store your payment card details.
- Accountability partner data: If you use the Duo or Family plan, your step counts and bypass events may be visible to your designated accountability partners.
- Push notification tokens: Device tokens used to send tier unlock alerts, streak milestones, and partner bypass notifications.
3. HealthKit Data
PushScroll requests access to your step count data via Apple HealthKit. We use this data solely to determine your daily step progress and unlock the appropriate app tiers.
- HealthKit data is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
- HealthKit data is never used for any purpose other than calculating your step progress within the app.
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your iPhone.
4. Screen Time & FamilyControls
PushScroll uses Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to apply system-level app blocks. This framework operates entirely on your device. We do not receive, store, or transmit data about which specific apps are blocked or your Screen Time usage patterns beyond the tier assignments you configure in the app.
5. AI Coaching
Solo, Duo, and Family subscribers receive AI coaching powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When generating coaching messages, we send anonymised data to Anthropic including your step count, step goal, streak, and bypass event count. We do not send your name, email, or any personally identifying information to Anthropic. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
6. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the app blocking mechanic (step tracking → tier unlocking)
- To send push notifications for tier unlocks, streaks, and partner alerts
- To generate personalised AI coaching messages (Solo+ subscribers)
- To manage your subscription via RevenueCat and Apple
- To display your progress to designated accountability partners (Duo/Family subscribers)
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com)
- Anthropic — AI coaching features (anthropic.com)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (revenuecat.com)
- Apple — in-app purchases and push notifications
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings

10. Children's Privacy
PushScroll is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The Family plan is intended for use by parents managing their household. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
11. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security policies on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
