By downloading or using PushScroll, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They're written in plain language.
1. Who We Are
PushScroll ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Francis Alexes Noces, an individual based in Canada. Contact us at support@pushscroll.io.
2. What PushScroll Does
PushScroll is an iOS digital wellness application that uses Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to apply system-level blocks to apps you designate. App blocks are tied to your daily step goal — apps unlock progressively as you walk. The app also includes AI coaching features, accountability partner functionality, streak tracking, and session budgets.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PushScroll. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Family plan may be used by parents or guardians to manage app access for family members, including minors.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@pushscroll.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
PushScroll offers a free tier and three paid subscription plans:
- Solo — $4.99/month (7-day free trial)
- Duo — $7.99/month
- Family — $12.99/month
All paid subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system via RevenueCat. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms of service. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
To cancel, go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → PushScroll. We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.
6. Free Trial
The Solo plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged $4.99/month. You can cancel at any time during the trial at no charge.
7. App Blocking — Important Limitations
PushScroll uses Apple's FamilyControls API to apply app blocks. You should be aware of the following:
- App blocking requires granting Screen Time permission to PushScroll. If you revoke this permission, app blocking will not function.
- The effectiveness of blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time framework. We cannot guarantee that all apps will be blocked in all circumstances.
- There is an emergency override feature that allows temporary access to blocked apps. This override is logged and, on Duo/Family plans, your accountability partner is notified.
- PushScroll is a wellness tool, not a parental control solution. It is designed for voluntary self-regulation by adults and older teens.
8. AI Coaching
AI coaching features are available to Solo, Duo, and Family subscribers. AI-generated content is provided for informational and motivational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, or professional advice. Do not rely on AI coaching messages for health decisions.
9. Accountability Partners
Duo and Family subscribers can designate accountability partners. By using this feature, you consent to sharing your step data and bypass events with your designated partners. Ensure you have the consent of anyone you invite as an accountability partner before sharing their information with the app.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent, reverse engineer, or exploit the app blocking mechanism
- Use PushScroll to monitor another person's device without their knowledge and consent
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
11. Intellectual Property
PushScroll and all associated content, design, code, and trademarks are the property of Francis Alexes Noces. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
PushScroll is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that app blocking will function perfectly in all circumstances. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PushScroll and Francis Alexes Noces shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost data, loss of productivity, or failure of app blocking to function as expected.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@pushscroll.io.
